Foam Assisted Gas Lift (FAGL) Technique: Laboratory Tests, Field Application, and Eventual Effects on Crude Oil Processing
L. C. C. Marques, O. Karnitz Jr, M. C. K. Oliveira, M. A. G. Ferreira · Brazilian Journal of Petroleum and Gas, Vol 18, No 3 (2024)
Foam assisted gas-lift (FAGL) can boost a well's crude oil flow rate at the same gas injection rate, or maintain production at a reduced gas injection rate - by dosing a tailored crude oil foamer surfactant into the gas lift stream. This paper reviews laboratory tests, field applications from the literature, Turner critical gas velocity, and the effects of FAGL on topside crude oil processing.
